About Me

My purchase of the S/v Palani in June of 2016 was the realization of a plan / dream I started in 2008. I’m posting this blog mostly to keep my family and friends on the West Coast updated on my progress as I get ready to retire and depart to explore the world. In 2017 the Palani was struck by a trawler while docked in the marina. The money from the insurance settlement and sale of the Palani allowed me to upgrade to a Morgan Out Island 415, the boat model I originally wanted. Currently located in the Florida Keys finishing up projects.
